Hardware Engineer

Seeking an experienced computer hardware engineer. In this position the successful candidate will work on hardware and software related issues for the customer on Sun Microsystems hardware and software.

Job Duties:

- receipt, replacement and documentation, packaging and shipping, will work customer tasks and provide timely closure in resolving problems and in case management updating and closure. - must be Solaris Sys Admin Certified if not currently certified.

Required Education/Equivalent Training:

- 3 - 5 years of related experience with a minimum of an Associates Degree in a technical discipline.
- Additional advanced and specialized training in computer hardware communication systems and equipment, and/or IS preferred.

- SM-240
- SM-210B
- Solaris Sys Admin I
- Solaris Sys Adm II
- SM-250

Experience: Must have experience working with Solaris and on Sun Enterprise Series. Storage, E10k and Sunfire experience is desired. Unique/Additional requirements: Shift is non-standard and will be determined by customer. Must be Solaris 8/9 Sys Adm Certified or have the ability to become certified on Solaris 8 or 9 in a short time period. Must have a valid driver's license.
