The Job:
The Field Tech is responsible for setup, deployment, and support of PCs and Macs, desktops, laptops, tablet PCs, desk phones, smartphones, printers, peripherals, desktop applications and security software. This work is initiated via phone, email, automated ticket creation, remotely, and on-site. This position is responsible for analysis of technical issues and problem resolution using a systematic trouble shooting approach. This includes resolution documentation and training of people. The Field Tech works directly with, and takes direction from, the IT Consultants to ensure that the clients needs are consistently being met.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Field Technicians setup, deploy, and support PCs and Macs, desktops, laptops, tablet PCs, desk phones, smartphones, printers, peripherals, desktop applications and security software.
Ensures that people are happy and productive with their computer and devices providing quick and courteous desk-side support to clients and employees.
Thoroughly tests all work and ensures that client business systems are fully functional and meet the clients business needs.
Drive to and from clients for pick-up and delivery of equipment.

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 1+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A+ and Network + certifications preferred.
Has advanced skills in working with hardware, software, support, and management of computer systems and can adapt extremely well to newer applications. Has advanced skills working with programming and networking computer software and systems. Minimum keyboarding speed of 35 words per minute.
Adapts and quickly learns new technologies and products.
Takes ownership of issues and shows professionalism and control at all times.
Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with clients and coworkers including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
Must have a valid drivers license and transportation to drive to and from clients.
